Sympathizers from across the globe continue to send messages of condolence to the former Nigeria Military Leader, and head of Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Major General Muhammadu Buhari who lost his first daughter in Kaduna on Thursday.

A Sickle cell patient, the much loved daughter of the former Head of State died after developing complications following a child birth.
Alhaji Bashir Saidu, the Deputy State Chairman of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), said in Kaduna, that the deceased was married to Captain Mahmud Junaid, a retired Army officer.
She will be buried on Friday according to Islamic rites at Ungar Rimi cemetery in Kaduna, according to an unconfirmed source.
Messages of condolences however continue to troop in following the announcement of Zulai‘s death Thursday evening.
A message sent through the social network Twitter from one Suleman Dauda announcing the death to Former Federal Capital Territory Minister, El Rufai urged the ex Minister to condole Buhar. Several other messages of sympathy have been sent trooping in to condole the family from across the World.
“May the soul of Zulaihatu, the eldest daughter of General Muhammadu Buhari, rest in perfect peace,” Mr. El-rufai promptly reacted.
The Spokesman of Mr. Buhari’s political party, Congress for Progressive Change, Rotimi Fashakin described the death as sad and unfortunate, praying that God will give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has condoled with former Head of State and presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, Muhammadu Buhari, over the death of his daughter, Zulaihatu Abdullah.
Mrs. Zulaihatu died at a Kaduna hospital on November 29.
In a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the Party, Olisa Metuh, the PDP said it “received the news of the death of Zulaihatu Junaidu Abdullahi, daughter of General Muhammadu Buhari with deep sadness.”
The PDP said the grief over the demise of Zulaihatu is being is felt by all Nigerians including the leadership and members of the PDP nationwide.
“On behalf of the PDP, the National Chairman, Bamanga Tukur, commiserates with the Buhari and Junaidu Abdullahi families as well as the people of Katsina State over this unfortunate event” the PDP said.
The party prayed for the repose of her soul and strength for her family to bear the loss.
She died, Thursday evening, after delivering a baby in Nasara Hospital, Marafa Estate in Kaduna. Zulai was a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University(ABU), Zaria.
