Contrary to wild speculations that Beyonce and Jay- Z was blessed with a baby daughter about ten days ago, the couple’s baby only arrived on Saturday January 7, 2012 evening.
Since the speculative birth and rumoured name said to be given to the child flooded the internet and many social network fora about ten days ago, further information about the baby had gone underground with claims that the couple has refused to unveil details about the baby.
Now, it has been revealed that the baby was not born as rumoured week…but instead, the hip-hop power-house couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z welcomed their baby girl just on Saturday night.
She has reportedly been named Blue Ivy Carter, born Saturday night at New York’s Lenox Hill Hospital.
Rumour mills on December 30 last year had claimed the pop star had checked in to St. Luke’s Hospital in New York City. It was further revealed that the name of the baby had been given as Tiana-May Carter, provided by overzealous rumour mongers. The picture of St Luke’s Hospital was lavishly flooded on newspapers across the world.
According to E! News, Beyoncé gave birth via scheduled C-section, though many sources noted that Bey’s baby came more than a month before her expected February due date.
The New York Daily News notes that Jay-Z and Beyoncé tried to tightly control their babeyoncé’s arrival, rented out an entire floor of Lenox Hill Hospital on New York’s Upper East Side, taping over security cameras and forcing employees to turn in their cell phones.
Most assuredly, photos of little Blue Ivy Carter are sure to garner millions, as the baby has been anxiously expected since the moment Beyoncé announced her pregnancy – not-so-subtly displaying her baby bump on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards in August.
Since then, fans have speculated wildly about the first Carter offspring, predicting names, genders, and shower gifts – and breaking Twitter records while doing so. But it turned out to be the couple’s close friends who gave away the tiny details of the tiny one. Kelly Rowland hinted in recent weeks that the baby would be a girl.
And upon confirmation from Jay-Z to his friends, the celebrity congratulations to the proud new parents came flooding in. Russell Simmons and Gwyneth Paltrow, among others, tweeted gleefully, but it was Rihanna who put it best:
- ?Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih 8 Jan 12
Last Update before the truth unfolded…
Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z still keep all guessing on the true pictures of their new baby girl, almost two weeks after her wildly publicised arrival.
The baby arrived on December 30 last year and rumours have abound about her true name.
Celebrity friends took to the social network Twitter weekend to congratulate the couple on the birth of their daughter providing a clue about the baby’s name. The couple refuses to issue official confirmation of the baby’s arrival but on arrival, there were rumours that the baby was named by dad Jay-Z as Tiana-May Carter.
Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband Coldplay frontman Chris Martin are close friends with the new parents and Paltrow tweeted to say the baby would be called Blue Ivy Carter, an indication that there had been conversation on the true name of the girl between the baby’s mum and her bosom friend.
The subject was a trending topic on the social networking site all day, but until Paltrow waded into the flurry of speculation it was thought the child was to be called Ivy Blue.
She tweeted: “Welcome to the world Blue! We love you already.”
Pop starlet Rihanna also in her own love expression offered her congratulations to her friends, tweeting: “Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih.”
Beyonce gave birth in a hospital in New York with her husband, whose real name is Shawn Carter, by her side, according to reports.
The star’s sister Solange Knowles also tweeted, saying simply: “The most beautiful girl in the world.”
Beyonce announced her pregnancy at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards in August, cradling her bump on the red carpet before unveiling it on stage during her performance by opening her sparkly blazer.
