The much awaited Nigerians in the Diaspora Day comes up on Sunday in Minna Niger State.
The Niger state Capital has been agog with activities as guests have been arriving from many destinations of the world including Europe, Asia and America to participate.
Diaspora Day is a yearly event and this year’s event has been very important coinciding with Nigeria’s 50th anniversary Independence celebration.
Many issues concerning the nation as regards development, people’s empowerment and social economic and social issues are on the menu of discussions.
The conference will also witness honour awards to many excelling Nigerians across the world.
Other issues slated for discussion is the Diaspora’s participation in the coming elections and all preparations to effect the participation.
According to the Chairman of Nigerians In the Diaspora Organisation Europe, Mr Alistair Soyode, this year’s event holds in Minna in Niger State as the Organisation sticks to it’s usual custom of shifting the base yearly to create a vast interest and participation by all and sundry.
All hands are on deck to ensure a hitch free conference with sources confirming from Nigeria that all Hotels in Minna have been booked with a last minutes rush by participants.

Diaspora day comes up every year on July 25, prior to the celebration of the nation’s Independent and all Nigerians states have a right to host it.
This year’s celebration plans has been earmarked for special hosting as it is coinciding with the nation’s 50th anniversary independence while government have taken interest using the conference to reach out to the nation’s citizens across the world.
