Governor's son, 20, appointed state cabinet adviser , serving dad.


    The twenty year old son a a northern Nigerian governor, Yakubu Jang has been appointed to his father’s stats cabinet.

    The Governor of central Plateau State, Jonah Jang  named his son, as his special adviser on special duties,making the youngest of all the appointees.

    The new appointment also saw the former Plateau State Correspondent of The Nation Newspaper, Mr. Ayuba Pam Dangwong  appointed as Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the governor.

    The former Chief of Staff to former governor, Joshua Dariye, Nde Alexander Molwus was also named Special Adviser, Political Affairs.

    The Secretary to the Plateau State Government (SSG), Prof. Shedrack Best, in a statement in Jos also said the immediate past Commissioner of Finance, Mrs. Clara Gang, would now serve as Special Adviser, Statistics.

    Two other women, Mrs. Monica Gwom and Mrs. Irene Piental were also in the list as Special Advisers, Women Mobilization and Rural Transformation respectively.

    Mr Isa Chungwom Song was reappointed special adviser, Legislative Liaison, Rev. Gyang Choji, Religious (Christianity Affairs), Dauda Lamba, legal matters and Nuhu Musa, security.

    Others are Rev. Danjuma Daniel, Ethical Reorientation; Barr. K.K. Vongdip, Youth Mobilization; David Zoyong, Inter-Governmental Relations; Thomas H. Gofwan, Non-Governmental Agencies, (NGOs) and Nyeng Gyang, Information and Communication Technology, Sam Karuri, Project Monitoring; Barr. Timothy Parlong, Peace-Building; Adamu Bala, Tourism; Barr. Nasiru Goshi, Religion (Islamic affairs), Moses Dongo, Community Relations and Timothy Kumtong, Labour Matters.

    According to the statement the newly appointed aides would be sworn-in on Friday 12 August, 2011 at the Government House, Rayfield, Jos.
