Kidney Transplant: Mum Seeks Help For Troubled Son, 38


viewer1A mother has sent a passionate appeal to well-wishers  across the world seeking help for her only son, currently awaiting kidney transplant in an Indian hospital.

The life of thirty-eight year old Olufemi Ibitokun is currently in danger as he his lying critically ill in India where he traveled to few weeks ago in pursuit of further special hospital treatment.

The hospital now concluded that Femi needed a kidney transplant for him to survive.  It all started some years ago when  Olufemi was in an active service with the Nigeria security.

He developed a chest complication which later was discovered to be kidney related.

He was  diagnosed and doctors discovered he was having a serious kidney complication.

Doctors at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Oyo State later claimed that Olufemi was suffering from acute and chronic kidney failure which they claimed was life threatening.

The ailment after diagnosis was then relapsing which now demanded for a major operation as it  got more life threatening. Following this development,  the family was advised to seek Medical assistance in India. However,Femi ‘s hearth broken mother, Mrs Adebowale said she had to resort to public appeal after exhausting all avenues to raise more funds for her son’s survival.

She said: “Femi is my only son, so I am ready to donate one of my kidneys to make him survive”, claiming  the finance to pursue the operation has been a major problem as Femi’s life continue to be endangered.

“The days are ticking and time is running out to salvage his life. I am helpless and heartbroken. I have pondered and wondered where to turn for assistance after I have sold everything I have to salvage hid life”, the hearth broken mother said, adding: “I am now ready to donate one of my kidneys to him so that he can survive. But we need urgent assistance to fund the operation“.

She has called on all well-wishers including God sent people and various organisations to please come to her son’s rescue.

“I will be grateful to any organisation, corporate and individual sources to please help as his life is in danger”. Mrs Adebowale appealed.

Doctors are claiming that Femi would survive if assistance for him can be swift and with the mother ready to risk donating a kidney for him, he would survive the current risk to his life.
