The Powerful Otunba Runsewe was sacked last Friday by the Presidency with the government taking other steps to make other appointments across the nation’s Federal paratatals.
The major parastatals’ heads change which took place at the weekend also saw the Director- General, National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Mr Yomi Bolarinwa being sacked and replaced with another top Ministry official.
The duo were relieved of their portfolios last Friday and instantly replaced.
According to sources Sally Mbanefo, a Banker with International reputation now replaces Otunba Runsewe as the Executive Director of National Tourism Development Board, while Mr Emeka Mba former Director General of the National Film and Videos Censors Board (NFVCB)replaces Bolarinwa as the Director General of the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC).
The appointments were contained in a statement issued by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, in Abuja.
The Federal government also announced the appointment of Hajiya Inna Maryam Ciroma, who is to take over the helm of affairs at the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA).
Other appointments included Bature Masadi as Director General, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (SMEDAN); Dupe Atoki as Director General, Consumer Protection Council (CPC); and Danjuma Dabo as Managing Director, Nigerian Film Corporation.
According to Anyim, all the appointments take immediate effect.
