State of Osun governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has paid a sympathy call on the family of Dr Olayinka Obaleye who was kidnapped last week, assuring the family of his Government’s preparedness to hunt down the kidnappers.
Aregbesola during the sympathy call assured Ijesa people of his government determination to tackle insecurity in Osun State headlong and wipe out those who may constitute threats to the safety and security of the State.
Dr Olayinka Obaleye was kidnapped on November 19 this year as she vacated her factory premises in the outskirt of Ilesa town after the day’s work last week Tuesday.
The Governor had paid the visit to commiserate with the family of the 75 year old and assure members of the family that the government was not resting over the incident.
Aregbesola also paid a sympathy visit to the Owa Obokun of Ijesa land , Oba Adekunle Aromolaran in his Palace at Ilesa, during which he sympathized with the Oba , expressing his government worries over the killing of a traditional ruler in the state recently.
Oba Adesina Anibijuwon the Alase of Ilase Ijesa was killed last week and his palace was set ablaze by hoodlums who are yet to be identified by the state security
He assured the indigenes of his security consciousness for the State especially with the election coming up in 2015, saying that all efforts would be made to ensure that peace and harmony reigns in the state.
